The consultant will perform the following tasks: Long Description ---------------- - Create, edit, review, and prepare content for social media platforms in the Russian language, ensuring alignment with the Organization's goals and objectives. - Contribute to the daily update of UNESCO social media accounts in Russian. - Keep track of social media analytics. - Translate press releases into Russian. - Translate web pages into Russian. - Ensure the Russian homepage is up-to-date and all content on the page is accessible. - Contribute to the creation of new web pages in Russian. - Perform other related tasks as required by the supervisor. WORK EXPERIENCE - A minimum of 2 years of experience in professional journalism or similar experience. SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES - Excellent writing and editorial skills. - Ability to rapidly analyse, synthesize, adjust and calibrate information. - Excellent communication skills. - Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively in a team and to maintain effective working relationships in a multicultural environment. - Creativity. - Punctuality and good time management. - Results oriented. - Knowledge of UNESCO programmes and approved programme priorities. - Advanced knowledge of information systems, web standards and technologies, ICTs, knowledge management, process automation, and business development. LANGUAGES - Excellent knowledge of Russian and English. **DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS** ---------------------------- WORK EXPERIENCE - Professional experience in the United Nations system. - Proven experience in translations in the United Nations context. - 1 year of experience in journalism or similar field acquired at international level. TECHNICAL SKILLS - Knowledge of content creation platforms (e.g. Canva, Adobe Creative Suite). - Knowledge of CMS (e.g. Drupal).
