WBG Pioneers, the World Bank Group’s Internship Program, offers undergraduate and postgraduate students a high impact learning experience at the heart of global development. The World Bank Groups Corporate Procurement department is responsible for the acquisition of goods and services to support World Bank Group’s offices worldwide providing support to clients for all aspects of the acquisition process, including, competitive selection, contract negotiation, purchase order issuance, change order processing and contract administration.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support Category Managers and Analysts with global procurement, sourcing, and category management activities. - Assess client needs, prepare solicitations, and manage selection processes. - Support procurement planning, market research, and review of technical specifications. - Develop vendor qualification and evaluation criteria, prepare contracts, and support vendor discussions. - Conduct market research, trend analysis, benchmarking, and cost-driver analysis. - Analyze and help mitigate sourcing and category management risks with business partners. - Attend client and vendor meetings and support sourcing administration and related projects.
