You have:

  • University degree or higher education relevant to Public Health, Social Development Studies, and human rights. A degree in Architecture, Civil, or Mechanical engineering is a plus.
  • Good computer literacy in Microsoft Office package (including Excel), and holder of a valid driver’s license.
  • 5 years of management experience within the humanitarian field in the Shelter and WASH sectors including infrastructure works, environmental works, water, sanitation, solar, health or waste management.
  • Experience in mainstreaming protection services and initiatives in other humanitarian sectors.
  • Experience in NGOs, working with vulnerable communities involving assessments, design, implementation, reporting, evaluation and monitoring.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and ArcGIS platforms is a plus.
  • Understanding of South Lebanon contexts, with proven experience working in urban and rural settings.
  • In-depth understanding of fragile contexts, with demonstrated experience working in such environments.
  • Familiarity with core principles of Child Rights, Participation, Do No Harm, Community and Family Support, as well as the minimum standards for Children in Emergencies.
  • Proven experience in community mobilization.
  • Proven experience working in emergency settings.
  • Strong understanding of Project Cycle Management and associated tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively represent and liaise with external parties.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to network and negotiate with partners and government bodies.
  • Ability to work in and contribute to a dynamic team operating in a fragile environment.

Under the direct supervision of the Program Manager, the Wash Project Coordinator is responsible for the comprehensive management of World Vision Lebanon (WVL) WASH project in the South and Nabatieh areas. The Project Coordinator will be overseeing the assessment, design, and implementation phases of the project, ensuring that the project activities are being implemented within the established timelines, meet the desired quality standards, and allocated resources effectively. The Project Coordinator plays a pivotal role in mobilizing and engaging external stakeholders throughout the entire process, fostering collaboration and ensuring that the voices of the community are integrated into project decision-making.

Coordinate the project assessment, design, and implementation.

  • Follow up and engage with internal teams; MEAL, technical (CP and WASH), operations, communication, security, and other support functions, to ensure that all needed tools are developed and analysed according to project needs.
  • Ensure that all aspects of the project’s daily management are met, including logistics, administration, security, visibility, community and beneficiary liaison, evidence generation, coordination, context monitoring and quick project adaptation, and risk management.
  • Prepare procurement requests and oversee procurement plan and updating any risks.
  • Under the supervision of the Program Manager and WVL Technical Team, develop and use appropriate project management tools (including but not limited to reports, Detailed Implementation Plans (DIP), ITT, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), impact evaluation, financial tracking, and programmatic process flows.
  • In collaboration with the project officer, review project-level analysis, highlight trends, and implement recommended operational measures to address gaps and challenges.
  • Ensure the production of WVL high-quality narrative and financial reports in a timely manner, based on the agreed template and processes.
  • Engage in proposal development as requested by the Program Manager.
  • Ensure that lessons learned, risks, and innovations are well documented and shared with the program team.
  • Support the identification and escalation of advocacy issues to the Program Manager.
  • Review the Indicator Tracking Table (ITT) and validate Means of Verification (MoVs), ensuring timely and accurate internal and external reporting on project activities.

Build relationships and capacities within the project team and communities:

  • Build and maintain healthy partnerships with project communities.
  • Provide leadership and coaching to direct reports in project management and quality implementation.
  • Effectively manage the performance of direct reports, ensuring that performance agreements, regular performance reviews, and annual appraisals are completed. Address any performance or behavioral issues as they arise.
  • Under the direct supervision of the Program Manager, ensure engaging and pre-positioning WVL with NGOs and local partners as well as sector working groups to in the area.
  • In collaboration with the technical specialists, contribute to the technical evaluation of activities and take the initiative to propose adjustments to activities depending on needs and circumstances.

Comprehensive Reporting and Safeguarding Management Framework:

  • Handle output-level reporting, ensuring compliance with established guidelines, and complete required information in Activity Info by set deadlines.
  • Fill project targets and maintain timely reporting of information disseminated to communities.
  • Complete the Referral Tracking Sheet on a monthly basis and submit it to the relevant focal person, ensuring that children and caregivers in need of case management are referred according to established guidelines.
  • Oversee the proper documentation and referral of all Protection and Child Protection cases, ensuring compliance with Child Protection Standards and the principles of a Child Safe Organization.
  • Report any child and adult safeguarding incidents in accordance with established guidelines and ensure that project staff are trained to report incidents as required.
  • Ensure that the quality of implementation aligns with donor guidelines, national SOPs, World Vision policies, technical tools, and best practices, while generating evidence to demonstrate contribution to World Vision’s national strategic objectives.
