Provide leadership in hygiene promotion campaigns.

You have:

  • Diploma or its equivalent in Public health, Community development or equivalent field experience
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience, of which 2 years of working WASH related humanitarian programmes with special focus on Hygiene promotion issues.
  • Commitment to working through systems of community participation and accountability
  • Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The capacity and willingness to be extremely flexible and accommodating in difficult and sometimes insecure working circumstances.
  • Experience or knowledge of working and living in relevant regions/contexts
  • Humanitarian programming experience
  • Oral and written Language skills in French and additional Local languages spoken in Ituri will be an added advantage

Objet du Rôle

Under the supervision of WASH Coordinator, the WASH Hygiene Promotion Officer [Software] will be responsible to provide leadership and participate in hygiene promotion campaigns, prepare written material for the field, elaborate clear and adapted message for beneficiaries. He will participate in emergency preparedness activities and be ready to respond in the event of an emergency, as required.

The Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Officer will work under the supervision of the WASH Coordinator for the implementation of the work plan.
