Volunteers will be required to design, develop fundraising strategies and research on the best crowd fundraising sites that can be used to fund raise for the project, Volunteers will not be required to ask for money form anyone, we plan to build a free vocational skills training center in northern region of Uganda, Lira district for at risk youths and women.

Resource mobilization, partnership and donor coordination

The number of uneducated youths and women in Northern Uganda, Lira District is alarming. In fact, 18% of children between the ages of 6-15 do not attend school.* At New Generation for Change, a Christian community-based organization located in the Lira District, we believe vocational training is essential to help lift at-risk youth and single women out of poverty and give them hope for the future. That is why we are planning to open a free vocational training center. The population we serve is especially deserving - they include orphans, street kids, children from child-headed families, children from poor families, youths and single mothers. But we need donors like you to help turn our vision into a reality. The training center will offer skills-based training to include: • Tailoring (clothes sewing) • Shoe making • Craft bags making • Cosmetics and soap making • Carpentry and joinery

6-10 hours per week / 4 weeks
