Contract

This is a UNV contract. More about UNV contracts.

The Economic and Social Policy (ESP) Global Practice is one of UNICEF's technical teams, working across five thematic areas — Child Poverty, Social Protection, Public Finance for Children, Cash-Based Assistance, and Youth Livelihoods — to advance evidence-based policy and programmatic action for the most vulnerable children and families. The ESP team produces a wide range of technical knowledge products, capacity-building materials, and public-facing communications intended for government counterparts, development partners, civil society, and practitioner audiences worldwide.

To support the dissemination and visibility of its work, the ESP Global Practice is seeking two online volunteers with professional graphic design skills to assist in the layout and design of a set of high-priority knowledge and training products. These materials span social and behavior change programming, gender-responsive social protection, and capacity-building resources, and are intended to be polished, accessible, and aligned with UNICEF's corporate visual identity.

Shortlisted candidates will be requested to submit samples of work.

We are looking for four online volunteers who can provide support in creating designs and artwork for our public facing products. These materials are intended to deliver pertinent messages about the work of UNICEF to our target audiences.

One Online Volunteer (Volunteer 1) will be asked to: • Proof-read and design 3 case studies (5 pages each, total 15 pages) showcasing the added value of SBC in Cash+ and or Universal Child Benefits programmes • Design one compendium of best SBC practices and recommendations on how to mainstream SBC in Cash+ and or Universal Child Benefits programmes (5 pages) • Design of the SBC for Cash Transfer Programmes framework, including programmatic check-list, indicators and survey questions (20 pages) (Design support is the layout of the documents and one graphic design.)

And two Online Volunteers (Volunteer 2 and 3) will be asked to: • Design remaining materials of UNICEF Gender-Responsive and Inclusive Social Protection Capacity-Building Training, including modules (4 Modules, approx. 100 slides per Module), workbook (approx. 80 pages), and facilitator guides (4 Guides, approx. 10 pages per Guide).

And one Online Volunteer (Volunteer 4) will be asked to: • Revise the design of UNICEF Lessons Learned Study (approx. 100 pages).

The design/layout should follow our corporate design guidelines which will be shared with the Online Volunteers in advance.

• Candidates should have professional experience in graphic design with previous experience in designing document layouts, and must have in-depth knowledge of graphic design applications, as well as good verbal and written communication skills in English. • A degree in graphic design or related field is considered an asset.
