Support the development of high-quality website designs for IOM.
You have:
- High school diploma with at least six years of relevant professional experience; or a Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, web design, multimedia arts or a related field with at least four years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience in UX/UI Design and Graphic Design.
- A strong portfolio showcasing graphic design and UX/UI design work.
- Ability to translate requirements into effective design solutions.
- Knowledge of principles and practices of graphic design.
- Excellent design skills using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign.
- Excellent design skills using Figma or similar prototyping tools.
- Team player who can work with web developers, web designers and production colleagues under tight deadlines.
Contract
This is a G-6 contract. This kind of contract is known as General Service and related categories. It is normally only for nationals. It usually requires 6 years of experience, depending on education. More about G-6 contracts.

The Online Communications Unit (OCU), the Manila-based branch of the IOM Media and Communications Unit, focuses on several key areas of work. These include bringing expertise and agility to manage the digital environment effectively, ensuring IOM's online presence is a strategic priority, maintaining consistency in online brand representation, guiding and empowering colleagues through web management training, and being dedicated to swift and effective responses to web-based demands, efficiently meeting various web-related needs.
Under the direct supervision of the National Web Design Officer (UI/UX) and the overall supervision of the Head, Online Communications Unit, the Sr. Web Design Associate will be responsible for supporting the development of high-quality website designs for IOM website platforms. The successful candidate will also assist in responding to web design needs for IOM’s corporate and other digital platforms, keeping them current, and supporting the application of design standards. The successful candidate will contribute to IOM’s web design activities and assist in implementing a user experience (UX) approach that leverages IOM audience personas to increase the visibility and engagement of all IOM online content.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
- High school diploma with at least six years of relevant professional experience; or,
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, web design, multimedia arts or a related field from an accredited institution, with at least four years of relevant professional experience.

EXPERIENCE
- Experience in UX/UI Design and Graphic Design.
- A strong portfolio showcasing graphic design and UX/UI design work.
- Experience in a senior-level creative support or project operations role.
- Understanding of creative workflows and cross-functional team collaboration.
- Ability to translate requirements into effective design solutions.
- Knowledge of principles and practices of graphic design.
- Curiosity, humility, and a growth mindset; self-starter with the ability to contribute ideas.
SKILLS
Graphic Design
- Excellent design skills using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign.
- Produce high-quality graphics for style guides, reports, and online design requirements.
- Maintain consistency in brand visuals across all platforms.
UX/UI Design
- Excellent design skills using Figma or similar prototyping tools.
- Motion graphics skills using Adobe After Effects or similar animation tools.
- Knowledge of usability principles, accessibility standards (WCAG) and human-centered design.
- Team player who can work with web developers, web designers and production colleagues under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities
Web Design Support
- Support the design and development of mockups and prototypes for new websites and microsites, aligned with branding and user experience standards.
- Collaborate with teams to understand the needs of digital projects and translate them into effective design and user experience solutions.
- Provide digital design support to the Organization, including website graphics, infographics, icons, and interactive elements.
- Create and maintain an accessible digital asset library with reusable design packages and components for use across missions and projects.
UX/UI Support
- Produce and develop UX/UI concepts for IOM landing pages and microsites for specific projects, including responsive interfaces and navigation paths.
- Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, and prototypes to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
- Support and implementation of a UX/UI approach using knowledge of IOM audience personas to increase the visibility and engagement of online content.
- Support the production of motion graphics, interactive web elements, and visual effects for online materials.
- Contribute to documentation of website design systems and support consistent experience across tools and features.
- Assist with web accessibility, WCAG 2.1 compliance, and cross-browser compatibility
