Overview

Produce high quality video content to document FAO projects in Egypt.

You have:

  • University degree in Photography, Videography, Multimedia Production, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field;
  • Five years of relevant professional experience in photography, videography, multimedia content production, and visual storytelling;
  • Working knowledge (level C) of Arabic and limited knowledge (level B) of English;
  • National of Egypt or resident of the country with valid work permit

Organizational Setting

The main aim of the FAO Country Offices, which are headed by an FAO Representative, is to assist governments in developing policies, programmes and projects to achieve food security and nutrition and reduce hunger and malnutrition, promote sustainable agricultural development, reduce rural poverty, develop inclusive agri-food systems and strengthen livelihood resilience in line with the Organization’s Strategic Objectives and United Nations’ global and Government of Egypt’s national Sustainable Development Goals.

Reporting Lines

The Videographer will work under the under the overall supervision of the FAO Representative, with guidance of the Communications Expert at FAO Egypt in coordination with a technical oversight of the Regional Communication Officer (RNE) – responsible for strategic alignment, corporate compliance, editorial quality, and adherence to FAO communication standards.

Technical Focus

The videographer will be responsible for producing a high quality video product that documents and promotes the project in focus, interventions, results, and impact across selected governorates in Egypt.

Tasks and responsibilities

In close collaboration with FAOEG, RNE Communications and Office of Communications (OCC) branches and relevant communication focal points, the incumbent will:

• Produce videos in English and Arabic with subtitles in the language of each video. Videos should follow the FAO Video production guidelines: https://www.fao.org/3/cc5308en/cc5308en.pdf • Respond to the feedback from the FAO’s RNE Communications office and the FAO Office of Communications (OCC) to ensure clearance and final approval of all video outputs to and adherence to corporate policies. • Undertake field missions to capture human-interest stories, project results, beneficiary perspectives and thematic visuals. • Engage in several meetings to get oriented with the subject matter of videos and undertake interviews with relevant stakeholders of FAO Egypt projects, subject to consent and communications clearance. • Deliver all the raw footage to FAO Egypt country office. • Perform any other related duties.

FAO Standards and guidelines:
