UNDP Malawi, in collaboration with the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme, is implementing the UNV Spotlight Storytelling Campaign to document and showcase the contributions of UN Volunteers to sustainable development and national progress in Malawi.
The campaign will generate a collection of volunteer stories, photographs, and short videos highlighting how volunteers contribute to development outcomes across sectors such as governance, livelihoods, climate action, youth empowerment, education, health, and community resilience.
To support the production of engaging digital content, UNDP Malawi seeks Online Volunteers with video editing skills to transform raw footage into compelling short-form videos for advocacy, outreach, and social media engagement.
Under the supervision of the UNDP Malawi Communications Team, the Online Volunteer will:
- Edit short video clips featuring UN Volunteers and development initiatives across Malawi.
- Produce engaging 30-60 second videos optimized for social media platforms.
- Develop volunteer spotlight videos highlighting personal journeys, achievements, and community impact.
- Add subtitles, captions, transitions, audio enhancement, and branding elements.
- Ensure videos align with UNDP and UNV visual identity and communication standards.
- Create platform-specific formats for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and YouTube.
- Organize and archive final outputs for future communications use.
- Support the creation of reusable video templates for ongoing storytelling initiatives.
