You have:

The UNDP Kenya country office is seeking candidate to produce high-impact videos that highlight efforts in environmental resilience and biodiversity, showcasing progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The role involves creatively editing and compiling provided interview footage into a cohesive narrative, ensuring professional editing techniques, balanced audio, and adherence to UNDP Corporate brand guidelines. The successful candidate will develop engaging concepts, edit raw footage, incorporate creative elements, select appropriate music, and deliver high-resolution videos. This unpaid, fully virtual assignment includes an online induction for further details, and volunteers will receive a certificate upon completion.
The selected candidate will be responsible for producing a high-impact videos by creatively editing and compiling provided interview footage into a cohesive narrative. The deliverable must demonstrate professional editing techniques, including transitions, balanced audio, and complementary visuals, while adhering to UNDP Corporate brand guidelines. Applicants should possess proven video editing expertise, proficiency in industry-standard software, and the ability to convey compelling stories through concise visual storytelling.
Responsibilities:
- Conceptualization & Storyboarding:
Develop a creative and engaging concept for the videos based on the provided interview footage.
Outline a storyboard or script to ensure a compelling narrative flow.
- Video Editing & Collage Development:
Edit raw interview footage into a concise, impactful, and visually appealing short video.
Incorporate transitions, text overlays, B-roll (if available), and other creative elements to enhance storytelling.
Ensure smooth pacing, high-quality visuals, and clear audio.
- Music & Sound Design:
Select appropriate background music/soundtrack (rights-free or approved tracks).
Balance audio levels (voice, music, and effects) for clarity and impact.
- Final Delivery:
Provide a high-resolution (HD/4K) output in the required format (e.g., MP4, MOV).
Ensure the video aligns with branding guidelines.
Make necessary revisions based on feedback.
Training and Development:
Successful Online Volunteers applicants will need to participate in an Online Induction for further details on the assignment and the expected contribution/deliverables from this role.
Utilize provided information and materials to effectively support volunteers in their tasks
