Overview

Produce animated videos to highlight key results for UN.

You have:

  • At least 2 years experience in developing and producing video animations and info-graphics for NGOs or international entities is required.
  • Previous experience in UN related animation work is desirable.
  • Experience in Graphic Design, video effects and Animation is required.
  • Experience in video/audio editing software such as Adobe Premier, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, Avid Xpress or other professional video and audio processing - at least 3 examples of previous works to be listed is required.
  • Skills in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and other Graphic Design software are desirable.
  • Fluency in written and oral English is required. Knowledge of French is desirable.

Result of Service Producing two animated videos of 7 minutes and 3 minutes that will highlight the 2022 key results.

Duties and Responsibilities Organizational background:

The UN Secretary-General launched on 1 January 2019 a bold and new global reform which repositioned the UN Development System to deliver more effectively and efficiently with the achievement of the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals. As part of this reform, UN Resident Coordinator Offices (UN RCO), under the leadership of an empowered and independent UN Resident Coordinator – the highest-ranking official of the UN Development System and Representative of the UN Secretary-General at country level – support countries in the achievement of their development priorities and the attainment of the SDGs.

Duties and Responsibilities - Develop and animate the graphics, icons, and titles for the videos in line with the provided scripts. - Edit and mix the videos and audio tracks. - Ensure the produced videos are in High Resolution (1920 x 1080) and in MOV or MP4 format. - Use latest high-quality animation software. - Perform video post-processing. - Use branding, visibility, and digital communications guidelines provided by RCO. - Copyright standards of all footage and music in the videos and all voices should be followed - Submit draft of edited video clips to UN RCO for provision of feedback and inputs. - Finalize the video clips according to feedback provided by UNRCO. - Deliver raw video and edited video files via transfer links for downloads in high resolution. - Deliver the final copies of the videos of the 7minutes and 3 minutes by 20th March 2023.

Reporting line: The consultant shall carry out the assigned tasks under the overall supervision and report to the Communications and Advocacy Officer and the Data Management & Results Reporting Officer

Qualifications/special skills At least 2 years experience in developing and producing video animations and info-graphics for NGOs or international entities is required..

Previous experience in UN related animation work is desirable.

Experience in Graphic Design, video effects and Animation is required.

Experience in theoretical and practical background in video/audio editing software such as Adobe Premier , After Effects, Final Cut Pro, Avid Xpress or other professional video and audio processing - at least 3 examples of previous works to be listed is required.

Languages English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, Fluency in written and oral English is required. Knowledge of French is desirable
