The Learning Passport - https://www.learningpassport.org/ Platform UNICEF Supported Digital Education - is an ambitious partnership between UNICEF, Cambridge and Microsoft. It aims to improve the education of millions of vulnerable children around the world who face barriers to learning due to poverty, discrimination, conflict and disasters like COVID-19.

The platform for São Tomé and Príncipe will offer a digitalized curriculum with textbooks and interactive content, in national languages. The elaboration and curation of the contents will be carried out in conjunction with the Ministry of Education (MEES) to meet the specific needs of students and educators. The goals for implementing the Learning Passport are as follows:

• Provide students with access to quality learning resources in both formal and non-formal settings. • Support students through alternative learning paths. • Helping students and teachers develop their digital skills. • Increase the capacity of national/local institutions to support digital learning initiatives For students, this means continuous access to formal curricula and complementary content. For teachers, continuous access to training opportunities and new teaching methodologies.

a. Coordinate and supervise the rapid deployment of the Learning Passport Platform in the country, providing technical assistance and operational support in technology localization, content curation, coordinating various actors, supporting the country office team and en-suring the deployment and user success. b. Serve as the focal point and national coordinator of the LP in São Tomé and Príncipe. c. Serve as a support leader in troubleshooting and for users and stakeholders at key en-gagement moments, e.g. supporting content fetching and uploading in collaboration with education staff and government agencies by creating categories, courses and classes, and providing analytical reports of the data aggregated by the platform. d. Provide technical and operational assistance to develop digital learning content (e.g. cura-tion, digitization, localization, production), with a special focus on Portuguese language and mathematics. e. Develop digital content in schools (in partnership with teachers and students) and upload the materials developed. f. Contribute and manage knowledge resources and support general knowledge sharing by producing knowledge management resources, organizing activities to ensure sharing, ex-change and collaboration, and documenting lessons learned, challenges and good practic-es. g. Prepare monitoring reports and other regular reports for the country office, regional office and global teams; oversee and provide input to monitoring exercises for internal and ex-ternal stakeholders and Learning Passport funders (grant reports, annual results report, necessary updates). h. Provide training sessions and support capacity building activities related to LP on the island of São Tomé. i. Collaborate with other sections and stakeholders to support the development of digital safety guidelines and an effective strategy to promote LP use among parents, teachers, students, and other community members.
j. Provide contributions to update/share information about the LP on UNICEF social media or blogs. k. Contribute to making LP accessible to children with disabilities and children in remote are-as. l. Support UNICEF São Tomé and Príncipe in other activities related to the agenda of the Reimagine Education initiative in the country. m. Document the actions taken, generating evidence in images, videos, audios and texts for the n. dissemination of the Learning Passport and the Digital Learning Program as a whole.

A minimum of one year of professional experience in the field of information technology, com-munication using digital resources, design, education, digital learning, technology for devel-opment and/or development of information systems or the use of information resources.

Good knowledge of Power Point or other Presentation software. Basic knowledge about video editing Familiarity with presentation production tools and multimedia resources. Group Facilitation Skills. Good communication skills, both written and oral.
Proven ability in coordination and ability to work under pressure. Fluency in Portuguese is mandatory – Fluency in English is mandatory for Sao Tome and Intermediate level of Fluency in English will be an advantage for Principe. Knowledge of UNICEF's internal planning and MEES reports an advantage or knowledge of the functioning of the Ministry of Education.
Experience in digital learning design is an advantage. Experience in managing user-driven design processes in software development and support is an advantage.
