UNV Digital Communications Support Officer

Contract

This is a UNV National Specialist contract. This kind of contract is known as National UN Volunteer. It is normally only for nationals. More about UNV National Specialist contracts.

Eligibility criteria

Minimum age: 22 years old. Applicants must be nationals of or legal residents in the country of assignment.

Description of task

Under the direct supervision of the Head of Communications, UNDP Bangladesh, the national UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:

Digital content management

• Supporting the communications team to organize, caption, tag, and upload photographs, multimedia content to online media library

Social media management and analytics

• Drafting social media content in English and Bangla for key social media sites, i.e-Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube.
• Engaging with diverse audiences across all the social media sites of UNDP
• Tracking and assessing social media metrics, insights, and best practices to help UNDP Communications continuously improve the reach and engagement with key audiences

Outreach and other support

• Supporting strategic engagement with national and international media

Providing additional communications support as required

Qualifications/Requirements

Required degree level:

Bachelor degree or equivalent

Education - Additional Comments:

University degree in Communications, Journalism, Mass Media, English language and lit-erature, Film Studies, Cinematography or related studies.

Required experience:

24 Months

Experience remark:

• A minimum of two years of in digital communications
• Experience in managing social media sites, i.e- Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube
• Experience and proven skills in basic photo and video editing software
• Previous experience in digital assets management.

Language skills:

• English(Mandatory), Level - Fluent
• Bengali(Mandatory), Level - Fluent
