Cold Chain and logistics management remains the bedrock of immunization services. Under the Gavi PEF TCA, UNICEF is expected to provide technical support, staff development and oversight to ensure that cold chain is maintained, and supplies are readily available. In 2022, UNICEF has large quantities of cold chain equipment either ready for deployment/installation, in pipeline to the country, or at procurement stage. Additionally, Zimbabwe plans to implement a nation-wide Measles Rubella campaign in 2022. It is for this reason that reason that UNICEF is seeking to hire the Health Officer (EPI Cold Chain & Logistics) consultant.
