Result of Service

Through these services UNEP FI will be able to deliver support and services to the memberships of the Frameworks and Alliances it oversees. These memberships include a broad range of financial institutions, including commercial banks. UNEP FI is supporting the Principles for Responsible Banking (PRB) now committed to by more than 330 banks collectively holding USD 89+ trillion in assets, or nearly 50 percent of the global banking sector, and NZBA committed to by more than 130 banks, representing USD 74 trillion in assets or 41% of global banking assets. NZBA banks have committed to setting and publicly disclose long-term and intermediate targets to support meeting the temperature goals of the Paris Agreement as well as annually measuring and reporting the emissions profile of their lending portfolios and investment activities. They have also committed to publishing transition plans detailing actions that will be taken to meet those targets. In addition to UNEP FI requiring support on development, systematization, collection, analysis, and visualization of membership and operational data, it also requires support on data driven processes regarding the membership to improve the delivery of support and engagement to membership as well as utilization of data and reporting of progress. This includes but is not limited to data management of contacts and bank details, segmentation of membership and desk research. As the membership continues to grow, UNEP FI needs to have a data management system in place to assist with secure storage of data, and effective data capture and analysis.
