Public information and reporting
This year the UN is marking its 75th anniversary. As a part of the 75th anniversary celebration, the United Nations is igniting a largest global conversation via the UN75 Online Survey. The survey focuses on gathering voices from the people building the future we want. In the wake of COVID-19 crisis, the UN in Nepal will join the world in commemorating the 75th anniversary to bring out the voices and votes from the people of Nepal to help meet future challenges and create a better world in 2045 – when the UN will turn 100. While UN75 seeks to drive conversation in all segments of society - from classrooms to boardrooms, parliaments to village halls - it will place special emphasis on hearing those voices that have been marginalized for too long. The United Nations Resident Coordinator Office (UNRCO) and UNV Nepal is looking for volunteers representing all 7 provinces of Nepal including marginalized, disable and LGBTIQ groups. One province leader will be nominated from each province. UN75 Survey Nepal is a joint effort to mobilize young people. It seeks to provide a platform for meaningful engagement of young people to collect the survey responses from Nepali citizens.
