1. Role and responsibilities

The Urban displacement Out of Camp (UDOC) Technical Assistant will be responsible for the day-to-day implementation of UDOC activities, data collection, data entry, filing, archiving , assessment, preparing reports, etc.

Generic responsibilities

1. Ensure compliance with NRC policies, guidelines, standards and donor requirements

2. Ensure adherence to UDOC strategy, tools, handbooks, guidelines and standards

3. Implement activities according to established plan of action

4. Promote and share ideas for technical improvement and further program development

S. Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need, and explore and assess new and better ways to assist

Specific responsibilities

• Assist with receive incoming calls from beneficiaries/hotline and make outgoing calls to the latter according to needs

• Receive, distribute and keep records of brochures distributed, mails, documents and reports and perform other duties in UDOC centers

• Complete administrative tasks such as data entry of intake forms, translation, taking minutes, drafting letters, etc.

• Contribute to formulating report analysis

• Ensure proper documentation of project supporting documents a

• Provide services in person or through remote modalities

• Contribute to outreach activities, needs identification, response planning as assigned by Line manager

• Ensure safe identification and referral of persons in need of a specific service

• Conduct field visits and develop proper reports

• Provide inputs to documents (i.e. briefing notes, case studies)

• Contribute to the development of tools and procedures

• Contribute to coordination with local partners and key stakeholders

• Coordinate activities with other NRC programs

• Ensure proper communication with local authorities, NGOs, UN Agencies and other actors regarding legal aid provision when assigned

• Assist with administrative/logistics/finance tasks whenever required

• Prepare weekly and monthly plans and reports, upon agreement with line manage

By interfaces, NRC means processes and projects that are interlinked with other departments/units or persons. Relevant interfaces for this position are:

• NRC UDOC team

• NRC Advocacy and Communication team

• NRC CCs program staff (e.g. PM, PCs, POs, PAs)

• NRC support unit staff (e.g. administration, finances, logistics)

2. Competencies

• Bachelor's degree in social science, admin or similar areas

• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience

• Experience working in similar roles in humanitarian/recovery context

• Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts

• Documented results related to the position's responsibilities

Context related skills, knowledge and experience (shall be adapted to the specific position):

• Good knowledge of the context in Ukraine

• Experience of working in community-based initiatives and activities

• Experience of working in NGOs, CSOs or public service is an asset

• Experience of working in the field with displaced and/or vulnerable groups and communities

• Knowledge of the software programs (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
