We are looking for UDOC/Protection Project Manager to lead our team in Odessa - Ukraine, the candidate role will be to ensure quality programming and coordination across NRC Ukraine. Protection / UDOC programmes; furthermore, the holder of the role will be responsible for mentoring, train, capacity build staff on Protection / UDOC technical capacity.

What you will do:

  1. Coordinate and implement the Protection / UDOC projects according to strategy, proposals and plans;
  2. Develop annual activity and work plans;
  3. Manage the grants and budgets supporting the Protection / UDOC projects;
  4. Supervision, training and development of Protection / UDOC staff;
  5. Promote and share ideas for improvement and necessary changes in the activities;
  6. Cooperate with relevant partners and local authorities;
  7. Organize trainings for the Protection / UDOC team, relevant partners and beneficiaries;
  8. Monthly activity/project reports and other reporting as required;
  9. Ensure proper filing of all project documents;
  10. Responsible for managing and overseeing the development, implementation and quality of the Protection / UDOC projects;
  11. Responsible for managing all phases of the project cycle, budgets and grants;
  12. Support the development of capacity and responsibilities of Protection / UDOC national staff in Ukraine.

What you will bring:

  • Relevant university degree;
  • At least three years of field experience working as a Project Manager, preferably in Protection, UDOC and / or Camp Management programs in complex emergencies, with responsibility for Project cycle management, Risk Management, Staff Development and Management and Grants and Budgets Management
  • Experience in logistics/administration management;
  • Experience of coordination and advocacy work; Excellent communication and reporting skills, both written and oral;
  • Willingness to work in demanding, stressful situations under difficult living conditions with respect for basic security rules;
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Knowledge of the context in Ukraine would be an asset
  • Knowledge of local languages (Ukrainian and Russian) would be an asset
  • Protection, UDOC and / or Camp Management programme experience with start-up, exit or similar would be an asset

Duty Station: Odesa - South Ukraine with linked field offices Approximately: 40% in the field location Contract length: upto 31st December, 2023 (fixed term) Salary: Grade 8 in NRC's salary scale. NRC offers a competitive compensation and benefits package.
