  • A first-level university degree (Bachelors or above) in mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent quantitative fields.
  • Hands-on experience of building complex dashboards.
  • Experience using Tableau, Spotfire, PowerBI, Data Studio, or a similar visualization tool is mandatory.
  • Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language is desirable.

The Private Sector Fundraising and Partnerships Section (PSFP) works with National Committees and UNICEF Country Offices to maximize revenue and drive income growth. Inside PSFP, the Digital team is implementing a new Digital Revenue Strategy to Inspire, Collaborate and Enable markets to improve their digital fundraising results. The vision: become the largest and most successful digital fundraising program in the world.

The overall objective of the Digital Revenue Strategy is increasing donations through improved digital capabilities, integrating digital channels to support activities such as telemarketing, face-to-face fundraising, DRTV, telethons and others.

How can you make a difference?

UNICEF seeks to hire a talented Data and Analytics Specialist who has strong knowledge in Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Optimize, Hotjar, and Microsoft clarity to deliver the best possible Analytics Implementation in the digital industry and apply rigorous analytics to help our paid media teams assess the effectiveness and impact of their media efforts and web platform team to improve our digital customer journey.

As a Data and Analytics Specialist, you will be focused on supporting with rapid response insights and tag management solutions our NATCOM, country offices and/or Global Initiatives in selected markets. You will provide analytics direction on digital fundraising campaigns, marketing channel attribution and marketing automation with a focus on improving donor experience, while managing and democratising our global digital measurement framework as well as our first party data collection best practises.

This role will be a key asset for the global Digital Fundraising team, contributing substantially towards its digital revenue growth, taking digital fundraising to an advanced level.

MAIN TASKS

You will be responsible for developing business intelligence, while using actionable reports and insights and analytics prowess, to help improve the end-to-end donor experience.

  • Own and manage Digital Analytics (Google Analytics), CRO, Media Analytics and generating business intelligence
  • Ensure Data Integrity, Accuracy, and Tagging as per best practices and global standards

  • Understand multiple data sources and develop methodology for joining data that will add value for acquisition, retention, and loyalty customer use cases.

  • Contribute to building effective process management, quality checks, and reducing product & execution inefficiencies
  • Identify gaps, architect solutions, and provide optimization recommendations that drive digital fundraising campaigns and objectives.
  • Deliver end-to-end insights, performance dashboards and ROI analysis, leveraging media, behaviour, and performance data
  • Manage where needed market Analytics and tagging requests (Google Analytics, GTM, Media Analytics) and generate proactive actionable insights that drive business revenue and growth.

  • Translate data into human insights and stories that drive change in digital fundraising strategy and tactics.

  • Design and execute measurement frameworks, test/learn strategies, and optimization scenarios to optimize market’s digital media and fundraising website performance
  • Work closely with leading media partners such as Google, Facebook, TikTok and other data partners to take advantage of new measurement features (FB CAPI, Google ADH) and learning opportunities.
  • Work with various internal stakeholders to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner.
  • Stay in touch with market needs and industry trends to identify pain points and gaps

  • Be responsible for Quality and timely deliverables for team requests.

  • Document best practices and seek out opportunities to improve existing processes
  • Provide thought leadership and guidance in the development of market-facing presentations and results read-outs.

Education:

  • A first-level university degree (Bachelors or above) in mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent quantitative fields.

Experience:

  • Minimum of four years progressive experience and hands-on knowledge in the following fields: Google Analytics, GTM, Optimize is required.
  • Have experience in implementing and managing Google Analytics (GA360).
  • Hands-on experience of building complex dashboards
  • Experience working with paid media data, including but not limited to DCM data, Google analytics 360 data, QA and data validation in warehouse environments, data studio, power BI blending and visualization techniques.
  • Experience using any of Tableau, Spotfire, PowerBI, Data Studio, Qliq or a similar enterprise visualization tool is mandatory.

  • Experience working directly with business users to build reports, dashboards and solving business questions with data.

  • Experience designing and measuring media and audience-based tests.

Languages:

  • Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language is desirable.

Others technical competencies:

  • Ability to write SQL queries, doing cohort analysis, comparative analysis etc.
  • Ability to lead own projects and work independently once given a direction.
  • Understanding about GA360/Adobe/Datorama/CDP/DMP etc.

  • Understand the media ads tracking principle as well as the cross-platform data integration technology.

  • Exposure to Facebook and Google digital media platforms desirable.
  • Understanding of relational databases and/ or audience-based platforms.
  • Ability to efficiently summarize and report on brand’s revenue production and quickly identify revenue improvement opportunities.
