As UN Women Jordan expands its advocacy and policy engagement in 2026, accurate and gender-sensitive bilingual communication is essential to reach both local communities and international stakeholders.
Language shapes perception. In gender equality work, terminology matters deeply. This assignment supports the integrity, clarity, and accessibility of UN Women Jordan’s public messaging.
Your translations will help:
• Ensure national gender equality commitments are accessible to Arabic-speaking audiences • Maintain consistency in gender-responsive terminology • Strengthen trust and credibility in public communications • Expand the reach of policy insights and advocacy messages

Under the supervision of the Head of Communications, the Online Volunteer will:
• Translate communications materials between Arabic and English • Edit content for clarity, tone, and gender-sensitive language • Ensure terminology aligns with UN Women standards • Review translated social media and campaign materials prior to publication

• Translation and editing of approximately 10 communication pieces • Final proofread versions ready for publication
