You have:
- Strong understanding of climate change and climate action
- Prior experience translating development, humanitarian, environmental or climate-related content
- Ability to deliver quality translations under tight deadlines
- Familiarity with UNDP editorial and publication standards
- Strong attention to detail, stylistic consistency, and adherence to institutional branding and communication guidelines
- Ability to work with large documents and ensure coherence and quality across bilingual/trilingual versions

The Climate Promise website (http://climatepromise.undp.org) is home to communications content produced by UNDP Climate Hub relating to climate change and climate action. The website includes blogs, photo stories, news releases as well as other specialized content such as country pages which summarize the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) of countries.
We aspire to have as much of Climate Promise content in French as possible.
To support the delivery of these sessions, we are seeking 1 dedicated Online Volunteer to assist in translation of Climate Promise website content into French..
The Online Volunteer will support the team in translating select Climate Promise website content from English to French.
Specific tasks include:
· Translate explainers and other select editorial content on Climate Promise website into French
· Translate country pages hosted on Climate Promise, which are currently being updated with new NDC information, into French
· Translate any required social media assets for major campaigns into French, as needed
· Any other ad hoc requests related to translation on the Climate Promise website, such as site labels, headlines, menu items
· Ensure alignment of translations with UN and UNDP guides on French translations (to be provided by team).
· Strong understanding of climate change and climate action

· Familiarity with UNDP editorial and publication standards, including terminology, structure, and formatting requirements is desirable.
