Contract
This is a UNV contract. More about UNV contracts.
UNHCR works in some of the most challenging work environments and maintaining a strong ethical foundation is crucial for the successful delivery of our mandate. One of the activities supporting the creation of an ethical culture is the mandatory annual delivery of Code of Conduct Dialogues in all operations and teams in the organization.
Through this, Code of Conduct Dialogues play a pivotal role in achieving this by ensuring that all colleagues, regardless of contract type or category, understand and adhere to UNHCR's ethical standards and policies.
We are launching our 2025 Code of Conduct in February. We need all materials - Presentations (both slides and notes in the slide), Facilitator Guidelines and Planning instructions translated into Spanish.
Number of words to be translated is around 25,000. We would like to have a single translator doing all the work to ensure uniformity in language and style. Content covers topics around team collaboration and ethical decision making. While we want to capture the spirit of the text this is not a technical translation.
- We require qualified and experienced translators for this assignment.
- Fluency in the language of translation. Can be Mother Tongue or through education.
- Knowledge of PowerPoint would be required. We need presentations which are well laid out and visually appealing. We will be providing materials using a specific PowerPoint template. Translation needs to work within that template, respecting formatting in terms of fonts, colors etc.
- Research skills: When relevant, we would expect translators to find the translated equivalent of any UN Staff Regulation docs. For the facilitator guidelines, ideally we would also want someone who could find any equivalent sites, videos of suggested links in the language of translation.
