Contract

This is a UNV contract. More about UNV contracts.

The promotion of volunteerism in Central Asia is among UNV's main goals of the Region Europe and Central Asia. Therefore, most of the global content needs to be translated into the local languages from English.

The Online Volunteer will have the opportunity to build connections within UNV and learn about the ways in which the translated product contributes to the integration of volunteers into the UN system and the overall promotion of volunteerism.

Note: Online Volunteers share their time and expertise on a voluntary basis and do not receive any financial compensation. Contributing to sustainable human development, developing knowledge and skills, expanding networks and working in a multicultural environment are some of the many benefits of online volunteering. Upon successful completion of the assignment, Online Volunteers will receive an electronic certificate of appreciation.

We are looking for Online Volunteers to support us with the translation of 2 documents (PDF format, 20 pages) from English into Russian and Kazakh. The Online Volunteers are also expected to edit the PDF document so that the translated version looks the same as original one.

We have tight deadlines, so please consider this when applying. The documents are the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme's reports on a) SVF (Special Voluntary Fund) for 2023, b) FF (Full Funding Programme) for 2023.

English-Russian or English-Kazakh translation skills, sense of language, and attention to details.

Candidates should know how to use apps for editing PDFs to keep the original design. Similar experience would be an advantage.
