Translating video content from English to Filipino on Economic Recovery and COVID-19

The Online Volunteers will support the Youth Co:Lab Team with UNDP’s partnership with Sustainable Development Solutions Network - Youth Philippines (SDSN). The Online Volunteers will provide support by translating and transcribing information from English to Filipino. For this partnership there are four video outputs: 1 Situation Awareness Informational Video, 1 COVID-19 Recovery Informational Video, 1 Situation Awareness Zoom Panel Session, 1 COVID-19 Recovery Zoom Panel Session, all of which will need Filipino subtitles. The Online Volunteers will need to translate content of these videos, which will then be passed on to the video editor to edit as subtitles.

  Co-created in 2017 by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Citi Foundation, Youth Co:Lab aims to establish a common agenda for countries in the Asia-Pacific region to impower and invest in youth, so that they can accelerate the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through leadership, social innovation and entrepreneurship. Alongside these objectives, Youth Co:Lab also partakes in initiatives with different organizations, one of which is SDSN - Youth Philippines. The SK Ako! Program aims to teach young executive in grassroots communities about good governance, SDGs, the COVID-19 pandemic, and everything in between. Youth Co:Lab is assigned to produce online videos about 1) the economic implications of COVID-19 and 2) case studies of effective efforts to the recession. Youth Co:Lab will present the information in English so there is a need to provide Filipino (Tagalog) subtitles for those are more comfortable in the vernacular language. This will also be helpful for the SK Officials who pass down the information to their youth constituents.

• 6-10 hours per week / 3 weeks

  Knowledge and a proficient user of Microsoft Office productivity tools, Knowledge of Trello or similar tools or willing to learn its use, Fluency in both written and spoken Filipino, Willing and capable to work well under pressure
