The GLOK01 project aims at developing and implementing evidence-based guidance tools and programmes to prevent drug use, HIV/AIDS and crime and delinquency among young people by strengthening and improving the capacity of families and communities to ensure a healthier and safer environment for children and youth. In this context, and under GLOK01, the guiding document on the Role of Law Enforcement Officers in Drug Use Prevention within School Settings was developed to bring science into the work of law enforcement officers involved in prevention responses within schools. It also aims at bringing law enforcement officers closer to other agents of prevention. It is important to note that the document does not invite law enforcement officers to conduct drug prevention at schools, but rather supports with science and evidence those already involved.
