Translate a document on medical oxygen system from English to French

During the covid-19 pandemic, Tunisia was able to strengthen the supply of medical oxygen to the health system by acquiring new oxygen storage and production equipment, including oxygen concentrators and generators. Despite those efforts, a shortage of oxygen during the crisis occurred. The scaling up of medical oxygen is essential to achieving national and global objectives of reducing neonatal, infant and maternal morbidity and mortality, as well as better care for patients suffering from severe forms of Covid-19, trauma, chronic diseases or undergoing surgery. In this context, UNICEF supported the Ministry of Health in the development of a national oxygen scale-up strategy to create a sustainable and equitable ecosystem for oxygen services in Tunisia.

We are seeking an Online Volunteer to support us by translating the national strategy document on medical Oxygen system from English to French. To this end the Online Volunteer is asked: - To translate the document, which is 18 500 words (57 pages) long into English - Ensure the translation is concise, in line with our communications guidelines, and fits the audience

The selected Online Volunteers will be provided with the document in the original language and will receive guidance on the target audience and our communications guidelines as well as other guidance as needed.

The Online Volunteers will have the opportunity to build connections with the ECD Team at UNICEF and learn about the ways in which the translated product contributes to improve the resilience of the Health system of Tunisia, contribute to its emergency and responsiveness preparation and its capacity to ensure the continuity of health services during emergency response.

Candidates should be native in French and fluent in English. Familiarity with technical terms related to health/supply chain will be considered an advantage. Previous translation experience is considered an asset.
