Job Description

In response to the arrival of refugees in Greece in 2015, the IRC has been offering SMS, WASH, and Protection Services. Among others, through its child protection programs, the IRC has been offering individual support through case management to vulnerable children and their families, non-formal informative activities for children through Safe Healing and Learning Spaces, and emergency accommodation and protection to unaccompanied children.

The current pilot program, “Semi-Independent Living (SIL) in apartments for persons 15 years old and above living in childcare institutional care”, seeks at contributing to the broader scope of deinstitutionalization by offering quality, community-based and age-appropriate accommodation, care, and support to, mainly, Greek-born adolescents and young adults previously living in childcare institutions in Greece, empower them and equip them vital skills in order to ensure a smooth transition into an independent life.

We are looking for a Clinical Supervisor who will provide clinical supervision to the SIL psychologist, SIL social worker, and the SIL caretakers’ team (4-6 staff members), based on the needs.

Tasks ---------

- Conduct individual clinical supervision sessions with the SIL psychologist and the SIL social worker. - Conduct group clinical supervision with the whole support team, namely the SIL psychologist, SIL social worker, and SIL caretakers. - Review client treatment plans and provide feedback to ensure that the vital level of client care is provided according to the needs. - Address any ethical, cultural, and legal issues potentially arising in mental health counseling. - Observe team dynamics and support team function and bonding. - The sessions will take place, preferably, in person, on a monthly basis. Sessions via Teams could be foreseen instead, if necessary. - Provide recommendations to the IRC regarding the further capacity-building needs of the SIL team’s psychologist.

Profile ------------

- Clinical Psychologist with at least 7 years of proven track record in the provision of Mental Health Services. - 2 years experience in a similar position. - Licensed Psychologist in Greece - Previous work experience with I.N.G.O or N.G.O - Previous experience with adolescents and/or care provision settings is considered as an advantage. - Knowledge of a Psychotherapeutic approach is considered as an advantage.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).

- Perfect knowledge of the Greek language (oral and written). - The suitable candidate should be able to work independently, be solution-focused, and able to work within the team. Be patient and sensitive to different cultural backgrounds and have a high sense of responsibility by following the Psychologist's code of conduct.

Deliverables: -----------------

- Three individual supervision sessions (one hour each) with the SIL psychologist – three hours in total for the period of three months - Three individual supervision sessions (one hour each) with the SIL social worker – three hours in total for the period of three months - Three group supervision sessions (one hour each) with the whole support team – three hours in total for the period of three months - Monthly reports providing information on: - The capacity-building progress of the SIL team psychologist based on the agreed indicators presented below: - Supervision-Supervisee progress checklist - Case Formulations abilities - Diagnostic abilities - Intervention skills - Suggestions on the next steps regarding further capacity building needs.

Method of payment: ----------------------

The Clinical Supervisor will be paid on a monthly basis through a bank deposit.

Work environment: -----------------

Supervision should take place during working hours, that is, Monday to Friday 09:00-19:00 (GMT +3), depending on the staff members’ shifts, upon joint agreement with the SIL Unit Coordinator or the Child Protection Project Manager. The supervision will take place in person unless, as an exception, agreed otherwise.
