Token engineering, blockchain development, and technical writing skills sought for UNicoins prototype, which aims to create a blockchain based time token for the SDGs. Task is to research best use cases from open source solutions, including eThaler as well as ERC-20 solutions and draft technical specifications for prototype based on research and input from UNicoins team members.

    UNicoins are an enterprise crypto-asset based on distributed ledger technology (DLT) for use within the United Nations system. UNicoins, digital tokens represent UN personnel’s time spent contributing to cross-system projects to incentivise and account for collaboration. This proof-of-concept (POC) results from an effective collaboration for Reimagining the United Nations that is led by a committed team of Young UN staff from across the United Nations system incorporating an innovative digital token SDG solution for a time based currency to incentivize cross-UN system collaboration.
