You have:

• Terraform Associate Certification is desirable.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certificate is desirable.
• Azure Certified Solutions Architect - Expert certification is desirable.
• High School Diploma or above is required.
• At least 5 years of progressive experience in Infrastructure as Code and cloud technology is required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with Terraform is required.
• Experience working with Ansible is desirable.
• Experience using DevOps is desirable.
• Fluency in oral and written English is required.
• Knowledge of another official United Nations language is desirable.

Duties and Responsibilities The United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC) provides critical Supply Chain, Geospatial, Information and Telecommunications Technologies services and Training to all Special Political missions, Agencies, Funds and Programmes of the UN system worldwide.

This position is located in the Bridge Operation Unit, Service & Information Security Management Section, within the Service for Geospatial, Information and Telecommunications Technologies at the UNGSC in Brindisi, Italy/Valencia, Spain. The incumbent of the position will perform the function remotely.

The Incumbent reports to and works under the supervision of the Chief, Bridge Operation Unit.

Within limits of delegated authority, the Terraform Specialist will be responsible for the following duties: - Create Terraform infrastructure code for AWS and Azure monitoring scenarios - Develop Terraform implementation plan in close collaboration with BOU-M team - Design and prepare the Terraform environment - Create a GitHub repository for sharing purpose - Generate templates and automation processes - Present the Terraform solution to the Bridge Operation Monitoring team members. - Prepare related project and user documentation

Qualifications/special skills Licenses & Certificates: Terraform Associate Certification is desirable. AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certificate is desirable. Azure Certified Solutions Architect - Expert certification is desirable

Academic Qualifications: High School Diploma or above is required.

Experience: At least 5 years of progressive experience in Infrastructure as Code and cloud technology is required. Minimum 1 year of experience working with Terraform is required. Experience working with Ansible is desirable. Experience using DevOps is desirable.

Language: English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, fluency in oral and written English is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is desirable.
