You have:

• An advanced university degree from an accredited educational institution in computer science or information technology.
• Minimum 4 years experience in Terraform and DevOps domains.
• Strong knowledge of Terraform and experience writing IaC scripts.
• Excellent experience in building and operating high-quality DevOps solutions.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
• Azure certifications, e.g. AZ-104, AZ-204, AZ-400.

Duties and Responsibilities DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The consultant will provide subject matter expertise on the following activities:

• Designing, developing, analysing, and implementing Terraform Infrastructure as code (IaC) scripts to automate the provisioning, rebuilding, and management of application and database servers and other cloud components in Azure.
• Developing complete scripted solutions for over 10 UNRWA systems.
• In consultation with users, assessing system requirements to facilitate efficient and effective project implementation.
• Identifying means of applying IaC towards deploying disaster recovery environments in a consistent and repeatable manner.
• Producing the architectural diagram (with the dependencies) and documentation of the new server restore approach.
• Providing technical leadership in a related project, supporting successful outcomes.
• Assisting and reviewing related project plans to assess risks and make necessary recommendations and implementation. Similarly, assisting in the review of related policies and making recommendations that will comply with the strategic changes.
• Providing training for the IMTD team involved in DevOps operation and management.
• Performing other duties as may be assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE - An advanced university degree from an accredited educational institution in computer science, information technology, or a related discipline. - Minimum 4 years experience in this domain. - Strong knowledge of Terraform and experience writing IaC scripts to manage infrastructure configuration and automatic provisioning. - Excellent knowledge and experience in building and operating high-quality DevOps solutions. - Knowledge of current industry trends and best practice techniques to formulate solutions within the context of assigned tasks. - Fluency in spoken and written English.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS - Azure certifications, e.g. AZ-104, AZ-204, AZ-400 - Hands-on experience with Terraform and DevOps

Additional Information - The consultant will be based in Amman. - The duration of the consultancy is 4-11 months, extendable according to performance and availability of funds. - Remuneration for this consultancy is JD1,098.90 monthly as equivalent to grade 16 Jordan Salary Scale, and it will depend on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
