You have:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent in biological science, public health, or related domain.
  • 24 months of experience in a relevant field.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Fluent in Arabic (optional).
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated experience with data management and analysis.
  • Demonstrated international experience, in particular working at country-level (desired).
  • Demonstrated understanding of the IHR (2005) (desired).
  • Excellent knowledge of French (desired).
  • Applicants must be between 18 and 29 years of age throughout their service.

Contract

This is a UNV International Youth contract. This kind of contract is known as International UN Volunteer. It is normally internationally recruited only. More about UNV International Youth contracts.

Eligibility criteria

Candidate age: between 18 and 29 throughout the entire duration of their assignment. Nationals of the country of assignment are not eligible, except the assignments in Headquarters duty stations.

Description of task

Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of Programme Area Manager, CPI or his/her designated mandated representative(s), the Technical Officer will:

  • Monitor daily the application and trends concerning public health and social measures (PHSM) in the EMR;
  • Produce analytics on public health and social measures (PHSM) and their application;
  • Produce presentation material on the public health and social measures (PHSM).

Qualifications/Requirements

Required degree level:

Bachelor degree or equivalent
