Assist the UNOG medical service team with medico-administrative actions

You have:

  • Completion of secondary school or its equivalent technical or commercial school is required.
  • Medico-administrative experience or experience in a UN Medical Service is required.
  • Good knowledge of the medical database EarthMed is required.
  • Fluency in oral and written English and French is required.
  • Good knowledge of new technology particularly MS office is desirable.

Result of Service- Assist the UNOG medical service team to cope with the increasing workload and take medico-administrative actions in EarthMed according to the KPIs -Client satisfaction

Expected duration 12 months

Duties and Responsibilities- Processes medical clearances of worldwide staff members of the United Nations and Agencies. - Processes medico-administrative actions in EarthMed - Facilitates access to all activities available in the UNOG Medical Service to Staff Members of the United Nations, its Funds, Programmes and Agencies as well as delegates, volunteers, interns, consultants working on UN premises, and visitors in case of an emergency. - Assists all clients of UNOG Medical Service to obtain the services requested in the most expeditious fashion. - Prepares or creates the files for the Medical Officers daily appointments; creates new files/single sheets for new Staff/non-Staff members; calls Staff Members for scheduling/rescheduling of appointment, clarification on sick-leave matters or exams for medical clearance. - Assists the staff of UNOG Medical Service for the processing of incoming electronic, opening, sorting and prioritizing all the mail and e-mails ensuring that it is directed to the right physician or other staff. - Assists the administrative staff in related tasks when necessary

Qualifications/special skills Completion of secondary school or its equivalent technical or commercial school is required. Medico-administrative experience or experience in a UN Medical Service is required. Good knowledge of the medical database EarthMed is required. Good knowledge of new technology particularly MS office is desirable.

Languages English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. Fluency in oral and written English and French is required.
