We are looking for online volunteers to conduct online computer classes for the students in Gramiya Valarchi Sangam in Chennai. (GVS). We need dedicated volunteers with IT background. Online volunteers should be proficient in English as well as Tamil to teach computer classes. We need online volunteers to teach basic computer classes via Skype or Zoom. Preference will be given to those with IT background. Class timings are 5-6 PM. Morning slots are available in the weekends Please take a moment to read the requirements. Opportunity will be given to dedicated volunteers only, those who cannot commit 26 weeks should not apply. Non-Tamil speaking applicants will be rejected. Applicants without CV will be rejected

  Offering online basic computer classes is part of our literacy project for children and youth. Through the knowledge and skills imparted from these classes, students will be empowered to become literate, self-confident, employable and independent citizens. Learning the fundamentals of keyboard and browser use can open the door to an infinite range of learning experiences. Through the knowledge and skills imparted by the volunteers, we will be able to empower the children/youth.

• Volunteers: 10 needed

• 1-5 hours per week / 26 weeks

  Candidates should have IT skills, and be willing to dedicate 2 hours/week for one academic year (minus summer holidays)
