Teach online English classes to empower underprivileged children.

You have:

  • Proficient in Tamil and English.

Ann Foundation is a volunteer-led nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering underprivileged children through free English education and spoken English programs.

Many of the children we support come from underserved communities with limited access to quality English education and opportunities to practice spoken English. Through this initiative, the organization aims to improve students’ communication skills, confidence, and future educational opportunities.

Online volunteers play an important role in helping students build confidence in speaking English in a supportive and encouraging environment. Volunteers will work alongside project coordinators and other volunteers to support the organization’s educational mission.

Training, orientation, and access to teaching materials and curriculum will be provided to all selected volunteers before classes begin.

Ann Foundation is seeking online volunteers to conduct spoken English and ESL classes for underprivileged children in Tamil Nadu, India.

Volunteers will:

Teach basic spoken English, reading, pronunciation, vocabulary, and conversational skills Conduct engaging and interactive online classes for children and teenagers Encourage students to participate confidently in English conversations Follow the curriculum and teaching methodology provided by the organization Coordinate with project coordinators regarding class schedules and student progress Attend orientation and onboarding sessions before beginning classes

Classes are conducted remotely via Zoom or Google Meet.

Volunteers are expected to commit a minimum of 2 hours per week on 2 consecutive days. Classes are typically scheduled between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM Indian Standard Time (IST).

English. Some background in teaching (but not necessary).

Volunteers should be proficient in Tamil as well as English.
