JOB PURPOSE

WFP Country Office, Pakistan is looking for a self-motivated HR professional, for talent acquisition, ready to support HR team as soon as possible. The position is required as a TDY for a period of 3 months in Country Office Islamabad, Pakistan.

The incumbent will be responsible to provide support for the staffing requirements for BISP expansion across Pakistan as well as ongoing recruitment activities. This assignment offers a great opportunity to develop and enhance talent acquisition skills, while supporting the HR team and will provide extensive HR experience. While submitting the application, please obtain release from your supervisor for 3 months.

BENAZIR INCOME SUPPORT PROGRAMME (BISP): Stunting prevention is clearly a priority area for expansion to sustainably tackle the economic and social impacts of malnutrition in Pakistan. With a portfolio of 7.5 million beneficiary households spread across the country and a network of 50,000 women-led beneficiary committees, the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) provides an ideal platform for launching this collaborative effort. The Programme currently provides unconditional cash transfers (UCT) of a monthly value of PKR 2333 to 5.7 million registered households across Pakistan. In addition, provisioning of specialized nutritious food (SNF) that covers the nutrition requirements of targeted groups can significantly impact nutritional indicators. To meet the expansion of the Programme across the country, staffing requirements have been identified.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

1. Act as a HR focal point for talent acquisition for BISP related positions and to ensure timely completion of the recruitment process of priority 1 positions. As per approved staffing requirement list by the management there are 80 positions that fall under priority 1 to be recruited as soon as possible. 2. Ensure state-of-the art, highly effective and efficient recruitment, and selection operations across Pakistan. Including guiding and supporting HR staff across all field offices and ensuring implementation of best practices. 3. Manage the recruitment process of BISP positions in a proactive, time-effective and accurate manner with a focused approach of getting the right person for the right job. 4. Provide the needed advice and guidance to the Hiring Managers on the position to be advertised together with the terms of reference required at that level of position. 5. Provide support in building talent within WFP, working with managers to understand their needs and organizing solutions to recruit, retain and develop a high caliber workforce to deliver the business strategy. 6. Propose and implement talent acquisition strategy keeping a focus on gender parity, disability and inclusion among other areas and address challenges and improvement needs within the framework of the Human Resources Global guidelines. 7. Contribute to the HR Unit and management meetings by providing timely and relevant information on the status of recruitments. 10. Other tasks as required.

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATI ONS AND EXPERIENCE

Education: Advanced university degree in Human Resource Management, Public or Business Administration, Industrial Psychology or other relevant field, or First University degree with additional years of related work experience or trainings/courses. Experience: Vast hands-on experience in Talent Acquisition in a fast-paced office.

Knowledge & Skills:

Ability to complete HR recruitment processes under minimal supervision. Ability to analyse data, draw conclusions and recommend a course of action. Technology savvy, proficient in e-recruitment portal. Good communication skills required to give and receive information and work with a variety of individuals. Exposure to diversity and inclusion initiatives may be an added value. Advanced knowledge of MS Office package (Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook). Enthusiastic, positive and takes initiative to propose and to implement new ideas and improvements.

National Professional: Fluency (level C) in English language and the duty station’s language, if different.
