Volunteer to transcribe and edit interview for gender equality campaign

You have:

The 1st volunteer will be asked to listen and correct the transcript of an hour long interview in English for the #TakeAStep UNITAR campaign, that promotes gender equality in the security sector. The deadline for the transcription is Friday, 06 November. The 2nd volunteer will be asked to edit, review the interview and make a readable version of it, by Tuesday, 10 November 2020.

    On 8 March, UNITAR launched a social media campaign #TakeAStep dedicated to the amplification of women's voices and their achievements, as well as sharing tools which women can use to empower themselves. UNITAR wants to acknowledge those ordinary actions and small stepping stones that lead women to greatness – however they choose to define it. To help translate awareness into action, as a capacity-building arm of the United Nations, UNITAR offers concrete tools which can help along the way in the journey towards achieving gender equality.

  • Volunteers: 2 needed

  • 1-5 hours per week / 2 weeks

    The interview is in English, the 1 st volunteer would ideally be a native English speaker in order to correctly transcribe the interview and is expected to show high professionalism and accuracy during this task. The second volunteer should have a very good level of English in order to provide an accurate and professional edition/correction of the text.
