You have:
- Master’s degree in Medical field, Public Administration, Information Technology, or a Social Sciences or a related field from an accredited academic institution.
- University degree in the above fields with two (2) years of relevant professional experience.
- Professional training in a medical field or background in case your education is not in a medical field and or additional certification on PRINCE 2 methodology of project management is a distinct advantage.
- Extensive knowledge in IOM operational areas or a similar organisation, in handling migrant assistance, labour migration, immigration and border management, migrant health, resettlement and movement management.
- Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of a second official UN language is desirable.
- Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application/operational requirements.
- Exceptional time management and consultancy skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
- Skills in conducting end user training.
Contract
This is a NO-A contract. This kind of contract is known as National Professional Officers. It is normally only for nationals. It's a staff contract. It usually requires 1 years of experience, depending on education. More about NO-A contracts.
Under the overall supervision of the Senior ICT Officer (Solutions Delivery Manager) and direct supervision of the ICT Officer (Business Processes) and close coordination with the MiMOSA Business Process owners, the successful candidate will be responsible for requirements gathering, process and systems analysis, testing and training processes for IOM Operations Systems and contribute to their enhancement ensuring fulfilment of business requirements of IOM operations considering business needs both the field missions and headquarters.
Qualifications
Education
- Master’s degree in Medical field, Public Administration, Information Technology, or a Social Sciences or a related field from an accredited academic institution; or,
- University degree in the above fields with two (2) years of relevant professional experience.
- Professional training in a medical field/background in case your education is not in a medical field and or additional certification on PRINCE 2 methodology of project management is a distinct advantage.

Responsibilities
- Gather business functional requirements from relevant IOM departments, user community and partner stakeholders by checking User Support issues, attending meetings, workshop.
- Participate in the analysis of business functional requirements and suggest new functionality and improvement to existing functionality meeting business requirements and system configuration.
- Participate in the design/redesign of solutions for business functional requirements in consultation with relevant technical and development team.
- Assist functional, development and technical teams during solution development, and monitor and report progress.
- Support preparation of end-to-end business scenarios for user testing, compile user test results, and obtain formal sign-off from users on the business solution.
- Prepare, review, update and maintain project and change management documents in coordination with relevant business process owners.
- Participate in data migration and cut-over activities for compiling and cleansing the master data ensuring its quality and validating result of upload activities when applicable.
- Maintain strong interaction with User Support and Change Management teams to identify learning gaps or recurrent user support issues from end-users with the objective of improving users' knowledge, plan and provide trainings.
- Troubleshoot end-user issues as necessary and perform assigned User Support activities in addition to Providing go-live and post go-live support.
- Provide inputs to improve business process, value added reports and data quality and knowledge transfer to Quality Assurance and Support teams.
- Participate in the preparation and implementation of new system releases and participate in Change Management activities to deploy enhancements and/or modifications to the system.
