This assignment supports the work of the INFF team at the UNDP Sustainable Finance Hub (SFH), which helps over 80 countries design and implement Integrated National Financing Frameworks (INFFs) to align public and private financing with national development priorities and the SDGs. The findings from this assignment will directly inform internal analysis, peer learning, and global knowledge exchanges on the progress and results of country-led financing strategies, benefiting UNDP teams, government counterparts, and development partners.

Benefits for the Volunteer:

  1. Contribute to global efforts to improve development financing practices.
  2. Gain practical experience in policy analysis, SDG financing, and database work.
  3. A certificate of appreciation from UNV will be issued upon successful completion.

This task involves a full-cycle review of three country’s financing strategy, examining how it was formulated, what reforms and priorities it set out (e.g. in budgeting, taxation, private finance, climate, gender, or local financing), and what early progress has been made in implementation. The volunteer will review official documents, extract key data, and contribute to the INFF Facility’s internal database to ensure structured capture of findings. Based on this analysis, the volunteer will prepare three concise country briefs (3–5 pages each) and a short set of presentation slides (2–3 per country) to support knowledge sharing across UNDP teams.
