Surveillance Officer
Job Description
· Liaise with community elders, shuras and religious to inform them about project activities and gain their support to IRC project in their areas.
· To conduct continuous monitoring and community engagement to identify displaced caseloads in rural areas.
· Develop positive relations with community through regular meeting with elders, mullah and local shuras and promote IRC acceptance in the project target area.
· Provide information for community members about IRC history and mission as natural and non-politic international humanitarian organization.
· Create and develop communication system/method with community for mutual understanding of project goals and implementation.
· Be able to travel to the target areas of the IRC’s project; provide reports to the team leader.
· Build strong coordination and communication with IRC sectors in office and field level.
· Raise awareness for those peoples are not able to migrate in the urban areas.
· Protection information should be disseminated in the project areas.
· Conduct awareness session on child protection for community in project areas.
· Develop advocacy message and disseminate to project stakeholders and community in the project areas.
· Create and share surveillance network with community in project areas.
Any other duty assigned by the Project team leader.
Qualifications
ü 12 grade graduate
ü Having 2 – 3 year experience in the field of surveillance / community mobilization.
ü Excellent communication skills ability to speak Pashto and Dari languages.
ü Self-motivated, possessing persuasion skills, ability to maintain relationship and able to work on own initiative.
ü Education in Islamic studies and civil society development preferred
