Overview

You have:

Contract

This is a UNV National Youth contract. This kind of contract is known as National UN Volunteer. It is normally only for nationals. More about UNV National Youth contracts.

Eligibility criteria

Candidate age: between 18 and 29 throughout the entire duration of their assignment. Applicants must be nationals of or legal residents in the country of assignment.

Description of task

Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of the Advocacy and Engagement Specialist, the UNV Supporter Engagement Associate will:

  • Manage and update data on a regular basis; segment data in line with requirements of each target group; provide detailed data analysis on a monthly basis.
  • Support the management of I Am UNICEF platform including posting opportunities; promoting opportunities on partner platforms and social media; managing google forms / documents received from volunteers; following up with the web developer on dashboard bug fixes and enhancements; front-end content update.
  • Maintain and update volunteer profiles and attendance.
  • Manage I AM UNICEF email account and LINE account, follow-up with volunteers and answer queries as needed.
  • Support sending out marketing emails to non-financial supporters.
  • Collect content from volunteers and store on the shared drive, track and report on social media activities related to volunteer opportunities.
  • Flag up inspiring volunteer impact stories and draft content for the website.
  • Support the management of UNICEF clubs, including regular communication and follow-up, ensuring UNICEF clubs operate in line with UNICEF Guidelines, identify outreach opportunities to increase UNICEF clubs.
  • Provide support with logistics such as communication with vendors, procuring materials, shipping and tracking.
  • Support the organization of both physical and virtual events to engage non-financial supporters (volunteers and youth).
  • Support with translation.
  • Regularly coordinate and collaborate with the digital team.
  • Any other related tasks as may be required or assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications/Requirements

Required degree level:

Bachelor degree or equivalent

Required experience:

6 Months

Experience remark:

  • Excellent command of Excel, proven ability to conduct data analysis using pivot tables;
  • At least half a year of professional work experience at the national and/or international level in the field of volunteering and programme support;
  • Excellent oral and written skills; excellent drafting, formulation, reporting, data analysis skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; culturally and socially sensitive; ability to work inclusively and collaboratively with a range of partners;
  • Ability to work and adapt professionally and effectively in a challenging environment; ability to work effectively in a multicultural team of international and national personnel;
  • Solid overall computer literacy, including proficiency in various MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.) and email/internet; familiarity with database management; and office technology equipment;

Language skills:

  • English(Mandatory), Level - Fluent
