You have:

We are looking for TWO creative and motivated online volunteers to support our team with producing illustrations and artwork to be used in UNDP’s General Observers Report on COVID-19 in Malaysia. In consultation with the report’s editors and designers, the online volunteers will be asked to produce a cumulative total of up to TEN (10) A4-sized illustrations for the report’s chapter dividers, among others. All volunteer contributions will be credited.

    UNDP Malaysia is producing a General Observers Report (GOR) to assess government and societal response to the COVID-19 pandemic. GOR will investigate gaps and impact of COVID-19 to vulnerable groups, as well as develop lessons for better crisis preparedness planning. As part of UNDP Malaysia’s efforts to make reports more appealing to a general readership, we are experimenting with a variety of storytelling devices. We would like to support these stories will bold and captivating illustrations, to make GOR a visually driven document. All online volunteer contributions will be credited.

  • Volunteers: 2 needed

  • 6-10 hours per week / 4 weeks

    Candidates will be evaluated based on artwork portfolio—please include this in your application. Competency with digital illustration and/or finishing illustrations in digital workflow is a must. Skills in line drawing, caricature and/or other minimalist art forms will be an advantage; we will also consider other artistic styles. The following are assets: recommendation from a former client and any formal certification in art, graphic design or related field.
