You have:

  • Competent with digital illustration and/or finishing illustrations in digital workflow.
  • Recommendation from a former client.
  • Formal certification in art, graphic design or related field.
  • Familiarity and/or experience with Malaysian art forms and cultural motifs.

We are looking for FOUR (4) creative and motivated Online Volunteers to support our team with producing illustrations and artwork to be used in UNDP’s General Observers Report on COVID-19 in Malaysia. In consultation with the report’s authors, the Online Volunteers will each be asked to produce and/or curate up to twelve (12) half-A4-size illustrations OR six (6) full A4 pages. All Online Volunteer contributions will be credited.

    UNDP Malaysia is producing a General Observers Report (GOR) to assess government and societal response to the COVID-19 pandemic. GOR will investigate gaps and impact of COVID-19 to vulnerable groups, as well as develop lessons for better crisis preparedness planning. As part of UNDP Malaysia’s efforts to make reports more appealing to a general readership, we are experimenting with a variety of storytelling devices. We would like to support these stories will bold and captivating illustrations, to make GOR a more visually driven document. All volunteer contributions will be credited.

  • Volunteers: 4 needed

  • 6-10 hours per week / 6 weeks

    We welcome candidates from any background. Candidates should be competent with digital illustration and/or finishing illustrations in digital workflow. Candidates will be evaluated based on artwork portfolio. The following are considered assets: a recommendation from a former client, detailing candidate’s competency and ability to deliver under pressure; any formal certification in art, graphic design or related field; familiarity and/or experience with Malaysian art forms and cultural motifs.
