UNFPA Asia and the Pacific Regional Office is strengthening knowledge management and innovation-sharing across Country Offices in the region. The Innovation Repository captures innovative practices, pilot projects, partnerships, digital solutions, and programme approaches implemented across the region.

The updated repository will help make innovation knowledge more accessible to UNFPA staff, support cross-country learning and replication of best practices, streamline the collection of information for external visibility opportunities, and contribute to institutional knowledge management efforts. The volunteers’ contributions will directly support regional collaboration, innovation learning, and visibility of impactful initiatives aligned with UNFPA’s mandate.

UNFPA Asia and the Pacific Regional Office (APRO) is seeking online volunteers to support the updating and organization of its Innovation Repository, which contains information on innovation activities implemented by UNFPA Country Offices across the Asia-Pacific region between 2022–2024.

The Online Volunteers will work virtually with the APRO Programme Specialist to:

  • Organize, clean, and update repository entries based on information received from Country Offices and existing records.
  • Review the submissions for completeness and consistency.
  • Consolidate information where relevant, identify missing information, and categorize innovation initiatives.
  • Support in the preparation of short summaries or highlights for knowledge-sharing purposes.

Volunteers will coordinate virtually with the Programme Specialist through email and periodic online meetings. They may also collaborate with the other online volunteers assigned to this project. Regular progress updates will be expected. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, or similar data management tools is desirable.
