The UNV Field Unit in Yemen is looking for 1 online volunteers to support the UNV Yemen in the area of Communication including preparing of success stories in English and Arabic using visuals, Graphic Designing and Info-graphics as per UNV Branding Guidelines. The Online Volunteer will cover the following tasks as well. - Preparing success stories of UN Volunteers in cooperation with UNV Communication Officer based in Amman. - Reviewing UNV Arab State Tweeter and sharing relevant information to Yemen UNV Tweeter - Engaging the UNV Yemen Tweeter followers with different activities such as in registering in the UNV Roaster System - Following up with CAC Insurance and making sure Volunteers get services of health care - Sharing promotional resources with UNV partners in Yemen - Posting UNV ads/calls in UNV Tweeter - Liaison with UNV’s to collect images, videos, quotes for to be shared to UNV Tweeter - Provides support in IVD 2021 as needed

    Administered by the United Nations Development Program, UNV was established in 1970 and contributes to peace and development through volunteerism around the world. We work to both mobilize volunteers for the United Nations Systems and to advocate for the importance of volunteerism in development worldwide. More specifically, the UNV Field Unit in Yemen seeks to mobilize and promote volunteerism in the Country to face the ongoing crisis. Through this assignment, the online volunteer will contribute to increasing awareness of the importance of volunteerism and will provide support to the serving UN Volunteers in Yemen. The Online Volunteer contribution will be acknowledged the issuance of a Certificate.

  • 11-20 hours per week / 26 weeks

    The online volunteers should be familiar with the Yemeni context, have experience in managing events and social media accounts, familiarize her/himself with all the information published on UNV.org and onlinevolunteering.org websites and social media. S/he should be fluent in English and have excellent Arabic writing skills, including translation skills from English to Arabic. Be able to develop an infographic that explains lengthy and complex information in a creative and precise manner.
