We are looking for 1 online volunteer to support our communications team on our social media page. Tasks include general management, such as maintaining and updating Facebook page, to reflect the status of current activities and to promote the upcoming International Volunteering Day (IVD). The task will include: o Create a weekly social media content calendar to schedule posts in advance o Content creation for the website and social media accounts (Facebook): posts, infographics, visuals, etc. o Contribute and ensure visibility of events, campaigns and key activities planned by UNV Iraq (drafting articles, photos, etc.) o Update the Facebook accounts regularly on to reflect the status of ongoing activities and upcoming events, with a highlight of the UNV Cooperation Framework and activities related to the 2030 Agenda. o Track and monitor traffic and reach of social media posts o Monitor the media for UN-related information and prepare press books when needed

    Candidates should have previous experience with social media management, excellent communication and strong writing skills, savvy with social media applications and content management systems. A degree in communications, public relations, journalism or related field is considered an asset.
