Support translation of factsheets about different areas of WFP work

In areas prone to disasters and climate change risks, WFP provides food or cash to communities as they participate in activities that improve their disaster preparedness and mitigate climate-related risks. WFP also provides technical assistance to local government authorities to enhance community-level risk profiling and planning, disaster preparedness, mitigation and response, as well as climate adaptation. The online volunteers will be provided with support from the Policy and Partnerships and Communications Units, and will have an opportunity to know more about WFP activities, its standards of operation, and guidelines.

We are looking for Online Volunteers who under the guidance of Partnership Assistant will support us by translating one factsheet (four pages) from English into Russian. The translation prepared by an Online Volunteer will be used for the next five years in a printed handout.

Candidates should have professional experience in translation from English into Russian as well as good verbal and written communication skills. A degree in translation or related field is considered a strong asset.
