Token engineering, blockchain development, and UI/UX skills sought for UNicoins prototype, which aims to create a blockchain based time token for the SDGs. Task is to take research and technical specifications document that is based open source solutions, including eThaler as well as ERC-20 solutions, and develop functional blockchain prototype with input from UNicoins team members.

UNicoins are an enterprise crypto-asset based on distributed ledger technology (DLT) for use within the United Nations system. UNicoins, digital tokens represent UN personnel’s time spent contributing to cross-system projects to incentivise and account for collaboration. This proof-of-concept (POC) results from an effective collaboration for Reimagining the United Nations that is led by a committed team of Young UN staff from across the United Nations system incorporating an innovative digital token SDG solution for a time based currency to incentivize cross-UN system collaboration.
Volunteers: 2 needed
20+ hours per week / 4 weeks
Creation of ERC-20 or similar token, with a keen understanding of token engineering specifications, and smart contracts.
