You have:
- Degree in information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Experience in managing content on SharePoint or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity awareness programs and training initiatives.
- Previous experience with the UN system or similar international organizations is preferred.
- A solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in SharePoint and other Microsoft 365 applications.
- Excellent IT skills with a focus on content management and user education.

UNAIDS, the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV and AIDS, is the leading advocate for global action against the HIV/AIDS pandemic. The organization is committed to ensuring the security and integrity of its digital infrastructure. The Digital Technology Solutions (DTS) team at UNAIDS is responsible for implementing and maintaining robust cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive data and systems.
We are seeking an online volunteer to assist with the administration of the cybersecurity awareness program at UNAIDS. The volunteer will support DTS (Digital Technology Solutions) team in creating a SharePoint site dedicated to IT security awareness.
The volunteer will learn more about development and maintenance of a SharePoint site for IT security awareness including collaboration with the cybersecurity team to curate and manage educational materials and resources; cybersecurity awareness campaigns and training initiatives of the organization for a defined 12-week, 20 hours-per-week assignment.
The UNAIDS DTS team is in Bonn, Germany with collaborating teams in Nairobi and Geneva.
Competencies: • A solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices. • Proficiency in SharePoint and other Microsoft 365 applications. • Excellent IT skills with a focus on content management and user education. Project/Task Management: • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently • Proactive approach to problem-solving and ability to prioritize effectively.
