International Volunteers Day (IVD) is an opportunity for us all to promote volunteerism, encourage governments to support volunteer efforts and recognize volunteer contributions to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at local, national and international levels. UNV coordinates a campaign to promote IVD every year, building on the impact volunteers have in communities, nationally and globally, for peace and development. Therefore, the Online UN Volunteer will serve under the primary supervision of the UNV China Country Coordinator, and work closely with the Project Coordination Assistant. She/he will support to use Photoshop or other picture processing software to design cards, posters, brochure etc. and use Premiere Pro or other video processing software to make videos (3-5mins) We expect the Online Volunteer to create one poster/card design every week and one video (3-5mins) every two weeks

  Every year on the 5th of December, the world celebrates International Volunteer Day (IVD) to promote volunteering, encourage governments to support volunteer efforts and recognize volunteer contributions to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at local, national and international levels. As we enter the sixth month of the COVID-19 pandemic, we cannot deny that the crisis will have long-term effects on the economic and social fabric of societies worldwide. The challenge is unique and volunteer contributions to the response are critical. Thousands of volunteers worldwide have acted against the direct threat posed by COVID-19 and wider challenges in a significant outpouring of solidarity. For this reason, the tagline of the 2020 IVD campaign is ‘Together We Can through Volunteering’. The objectives are: • Showcase volunteers’ contributions and impact by highlighting local actions during COVID-19 • Thank volunteers for their actions and commitment

• 6-10 hours per week / 4 weeks

  Fluent in both Chinese and English; Have aesthetics judgment; Be proficient in picture and video processing software, such as PS, Pr etc. Have passion to act for promotion of volunteerism.
