Support the proofreading of the Tool Box of the Gender Equality Seal for Public Institutions-phase 2 (English)

The Gender Equality Seal for Public Institutions (GESpi) is a innovative gender equality seal recognition and global programme for public institutions that commit to advance gender equality and women's empowerment in their policies and programmes, and their work place. We are looking for Online Volunteers to proofread, edit and ensure consistency of the tools in the GESpi Toolbox. The Tool Box is composed of 25 different tools (most of them are few pages long) in word, ppt and excel. The total estimated extension of the proofreading/editing would be about 150 word pages. We need Online Volunteers who are committed, precise and looking forward also to learn about how to advance gender equality. The Online Volunteers will need to bear in mind that these tools will be used globally, so the language in each case must be as universal as possible.

  The Gender Equality Seal for Public Institutions (GESpi) is a methodological proposal to support and acknowledge the efforts of public institutions towards achieving substantive equality between women and men within the framework of the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda. The Gender Equality Seal for Public Institutions proposes to accelerate gender mainstreaming in SDGs implementation, based on a comprehensive process of improving and transformation of key internal and external aspects of the institutional architecture, policies and procedures. In-house, the GESpi intents to integrate gender equality principles and practices in the institutional organization and culture which are the core of the organizations’ operations. Externally, the GESpi aims to promote public institutions to analyze and mainstream gender into the public policies and programmes, to improve their approaches and their potential impact on women’s lives and empowerment and gender equality.

• Volunteers: 2 needed

• 6-10 hours per week / 8 weeks

  We are looking for Online Volunteers with previous proofreading experience, very high quality writing and editing, ensuring consistency and clarity throughout the whole tool box and platform content. We will set together a work plan with specific timeframes according your availability and our needs. We will keep tight contact to ensure you can consult as on any question you might have.
